Do I need a permit to install a shed?

Yes, a building permit is required.  All sheds must have any of the following to qualify for installation within the High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ):  

  1. Signed and sealed shop drawings from a Florida Licensed Engineer or
  2. State of Florida product approval or 
  3. Miami-Dade County  Notice of Acceptance.
