PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING:

Pine Island Road Widening Improvements Project

DAVIE, FLA. - The Broward County Highway Construction and Engineering Division will conduct a public information meeting for the proposed Pine Island Road widening improvements project from Pine Island Road to Griffin Road to Nova Drive (see map below).

The public meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022, at 5:30 to 7 p.m. via Zoom.  

Virtual Meeting Information

To participate in the virtual (online) Public Information Meeting, please register in advance at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_gMsygMS6R3SspFvfy9aBVA. The meeting ID is 860 8118 7896. 

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar at the above date and time with a computer, mobile device, or phone number (for audio only). If planning on joining via a mobile device, it is recommended to install the “ZOOM Cloud Meetings” application prior to the meeting.

The proposed project improvements include reconstructing the existing roadway from four to six lanes, with a shared-use path or bike lanes in each direction. Additional improvements include bridge widening, signalization, signing and pavement markings, lighting, bulkhead wall along the canal and landscaping.

This public information meeting is being held to present the project status and provide opportunities for public input. County representatives will be available to present the project and answer questions. The public is encouraged to attend this meeting to review the proposed transportation improvements.
