Solid Waste, Recycling and Bulk Waste
Hurricane Irma Advisory #28
Regular Solid Waste Collection:
Collection has resumed for residential, commercial and multi-family pick-up according to the regular schedule.
Recycling:
Recycling service will resume on Monday, September 18, 2017.
Bulk Waste:
Residential bulk service is suspended for the month of September. Please do not put out bulk waste as it will delay storm debris removal and electric restoration efforts.
The Waste Management bulk drop off facility located at 2380 College Avenue will resume its normal operations for residential drop off Saturday, September 16, 2017, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
HHW, Electronics and Textile Recycling:
The Town of Davie Household Hazardous Waste (HHW), Electronics and Textile Recycling and Drug Collection Event originally scheduled for Sunday, September 10, 2017 was postponed due to Hurricane Irma.
The event is rescheduled for Sunday, October 1, 2017, at Pine Island Park (Bamford Sports Complex), 3801 S. Pine Island Road. The HHW and Electronics and Textile Recycling event will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, please contact Sun Bergeron at 954-680-6100.
The free Drug Collection event will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Before disposal, please remove all labels with personal information from bottles.

- Vitamins
- Pet medicines
Unacceptable Items:
- Needles/sharps
- Liquids
- Gels
- Aerosols
- Radioactive chemotherapy Medications
