TOWN OF DAVIE HOSTS FREE HOLIDAY LIGHTING OF THE GREENS FESTIVAL
Toy donations will be collected throughout the event
DAVIE, Fla. – In celebration of the holiday season, the Town of Davie will be hosting its free annual Holiday Lighting of the Greens Festival on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, at the Bamford Sports Complex at Pine Island Park, 3801 S. Pine Island Road (see map below).
The event will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and include a tree lighting ceremony, parade and family activities for individuals of all ages to enjoy. The South Florida Trail Riders will kick off the event at 6 p.m. with the Jingle Bell Horse Parade.
Event activities include:
- Holiday activities and games
- Live entertainment including the Western High School chorus
- Carolers performing holiday music
- Petting farm
- Train rides
- Guest appearances from winter characters
- Visit from Santa Claus on a fire truck
- Pictures with Santa Claus inside the Pine Island Fitness and Aquatic Center, 3800 SW 92nd Ave.
Please note that food and refreshments will also be available for purchase at the event.

Children’s Toy Drive
Collection bins for the Town of Davie Toy Drive will also be onsite for residents interested in donating new, unwrapped toys. Toys collected will be allocated to over 300 children in need within Davie.
To donate, please bring toys in their original packaging. No used, or lightly used, toys can be accepted.
Acceptable toys include, but are not limited to the following items:
- Arts and Craft Kits
- Jewelry Making Kits
- Young Child Makeup Kits
- Science/Discovery Kits
- Lego/Building Block Sets
- Remote Control Cars
- Barbie/LOL Dolls (all ethnicities)
- Superhero Action Figures
- Dinosaurs
- Toy Cars
