TOWN OF DAVIE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY CLOSURES AND SOLID WASTE UPDATES
DAVIE, Fla. – In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, the Town of Davie municipal offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 25 and Friday, Nov. 26, 2021. Municipal offices will resume regular operation on Monday, Nov. 29, 2021.
Please take note of the following Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts facility closures and modified hours below.
Thursday:
- Pine Island Fitness Center is closed.
- Pine Island Aquatic Center is closed.
- Pine Island Multipurpose Center is closed.
- Programmed sports activities will not be performed on this day.
- All Town parks will be open from sunrise to sunset.
Friday:
- Pine Island Fitness Center will be open from 5 a.m. to 8:45 p.m.
- Pine Island Aquatic Center will be open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Pine Island Multipurpose Center is closed.
- Programmed sports activities will not be performed on this day.
- All Town parks will be open.
Solid Waste Services
There will be no solid waste collection services on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, 2021, including bulk and garbage.
Garbage Collection:
Residents scheduled for service on Nov. 25, 2021, will have their trash collected on their next regularly scheduled day, Monday, Nov. 29, 2021. Residents who receive weekly garbage pickups on Tuesdays and Fridays are not impacted by this notice and will receive service on Friday, Nov. 26, 2021.
Bulk Pickup:
Bulk pickup for Zone 22 will occur on Nov. 29, 2021. Zone 23 is not impacted by this notice and will receive bulk pickup on Friday, Nov. 26, 2021.
