DAVIE PARTNERS WITH HARVEST DRIVE FOR A THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE

            

DAVIE, Fla. - The Town of Davie is partnering with Harvest Drive, Inc. to host a Thanksgiving Food Drive starting Monday, November 1, 2021. Donations will help supply meals to Broward County Public School students in need.

To participate, items can be dropped off at the Davie Pine Island Multipurpose Center or the Aquatic and Fitness Center. The Town will only accept items until Sunday, November 14, 2021. 

 Town of Davie Drop Off Locations:

Monday-Friday 

  • Pine Island Multipurpose Center: 3801 S. Pine Island Road | 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Aquatic and Fitness Center: 3800 SW 92nd Ave. | 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Saturday - Sunday

  • Aquatic and Fitness Center: 3800 SW 92nd Ave. | 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The following items are suggested items for donation: 

  • Cereal
  • Boxed milk
  • Pancake mix
  • Syrup
  • Boxed Mac and Cheese
  • Canned Soup
  • Peanut Butter
  • Jelly
  • Applesauce
  • Cookies/ Crackers
  • Canned Corn
  • Canned Green Beans
  • Canned Beans
  • Rice
  • Boxed Mashed Potatoes
  • Canned Sweet Potatoes
  • Canned Cranberry Sauce
  • Stuffing
  • Gravy
  • Cornbread Muffin Mix

Individuals are asked to ensure that all donations be new, unused. Items in glass containers are to be avoided.

Please note that the Town of Davie will not be distributing the collected items. For information about the Thanksgiving Food Drive, please call the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department at 954-327-3941.

The mission of the Harvest Drive, Inc. is to promote the concept of philanthropy to Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) students. They have partnered 14 different school-based distribution sites and is works with more than 190 schools to ensure that all recipient families receive 6 to ten bags of groceries to complete their Thanksgiving meal.
