TOWN OF DAVIE FIRE RESCUE DEPARTMENT IMPLEMENTS COMMUNITY CONNECT PLATFORM

Helping residents and businesses prepare for emergency situations

DAVIE, FL – Town of Davie Fire Rescue Department is now participating in Community Connect, an application focused on engaging both residents and business owners to prepare for emergency situations.

Community Connect is a secure, easy to use platform that allows residents to share critical information about their household in order to aid fire rescue personnel to respond more efficiently and effectively.

In addition to the residential portal, this platform also helps business owners and managers keep people at their commercial properties safe by giving fire rescue personnel access to critical documents such as evacuation procedures, hazardous material lists, and more. Designated contacts at properties that join the program will also receive immediate alerts via text message when first responders are dispatched to the building address.

This platform is completely voluntary, and participants are able to decide which information they are comfortable sharing. To register, community members create a profile and enter critical property and occupant information. This information is then made available to public safety agencies at the time of dispatch. Data provided by residents and businesses within Community Connect is secure and is used only for the purpose of better serving residents and businesses during emergency situations.

To learn more about the program and to create your profile, please visit Davie Community Connect or contact Desiree Lopez at 954-797-1222.
