TEMPORARY ROAD AND PARK CLOSURES FOR HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION PARADE
Shenandoah Park Hours Modified for June 5, 2021
DAVIE, Fla. – The Town of Davie will hold a commencement parade for the class of 2021 Western High School seniors on Saturday, June 5, 2021. To facilitate the graduation parade, several streets and Shenandoah Park will be temporarily closed to traffic.
Road Closures
Beginning from 10:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., SW 14th Street will be closed from SW 148th Avenue to SW 136th Avenue/Wildcat Way and SW 136th Avenue/Wildcat Way will be closed from 14th Street to Appalachian Trail (see parade map below).
Residents who live along SW 14th Street whose only access to their residence is on SW 14th Street will be escorted to or from their residence by Davie Police Department. Please plan for an alternative route during the event.
Park Closure
The Shenandoah Park, located at 14601 SW 14th Street, will also be closed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. During this time, residents are encouraged to visit other Davie parks. For your convenience, the closest playgrounds to this facility are:
- Liberty Park – 13500 SW 8th Street
- Owls Lookout Park – SW 26th Street
- Math Igler Citrus Park – 2581 S Hiatus Road
