City of Sunrise Free Chlorine Event Completed

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

THE CITY OF SUNRISE UTILITIES DEPARTMENT FREE CHLORINE DISINFECTION EVENT COMPLETED

DAVIE, Fla. – The City of Sunrise Utilities Department temporarily switched from monochloramine to free chlorine disinfection to accommodate repairs to its Sawgrass Public Water System (PWS). The repairs are complete and the plant has switched back to chloramine disinfection.

Information about drinking water and health is available on the Environmental Protection Agency’s website (water.epa.gov/drink/info/index.cfm), and through the Safe Drinking Water Hotline: 1-800-426-4791.
