DAVIE, Fla. – The Broward County Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division will be performing minor bridge rehabilitation work and drainage improvements at Davie Road between Griffin Road and Orange Drive in Davie (see map attached below) beginning April 20, 2021. The project is expected to conclude in September 2021, barring any unforeseen conditions and/or weather delays.
The purpose of the project is to perform the following: concrete damage repair, joint restoration, surface cleaning and painting, fence installation, and roadway drainage improvements. To minimize construction impacts to the nearby businesses and residents, most of the work will be completed during off-peak traffic hours.
During construction, one lane of traffic will be closed in both directions of Davie Road and Orange Drive between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. At least one lane will remain open in each direction. Access to businesses and sidewalks will be maintained and variable message signs will be posted to warn motorists and pedestrians.
The Broward County Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division can be reached at 954-357-6040. The Project Manager, Stanley Bateman, can be reached at (954) 647-6490 or [email protected].
