DAVIE FIRE RESCUE ASSISTANT CHIEF RECEIVES THE CHIEF DONALD DIPETRILLO LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
DAVIE, Fla. – The Town of Davie Fire Rescue Department recently celebrated Assistant Fire Chief Jorge Gonzalez’s achievement on receiving the 2020 Chief Donald DiPetrillo Lifetime Achievement Award from the Fire Chief’s Association of Broward County (FCABC) First There First Care (FTFC) Committee.
This award is presented to individuals who exceed the call of duty, demonstrate excellence to promote fire services and contribute to the improvement and well-being of the community.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the FCABC/FTFC held a small ceremony to honor Assistant Chief Gonzalez for his 33 years in the fire rescue service and demonstrating commitment and dedication.
Assistant Chief Jorge Gonzalez oversees the Emergency Medical Services (EMS), training, special projects division health and safety, infectious disease, and Davie’s Special Response Team medic programs all while prioritizing the best interest of the Davie community.
“Davie Fire Rescue prides itself on providing exceptional service to the residents of the Town of Davie,” said Fire Chief Julie Downey. “For Assistant Chief Gonzalez to be recognized for his outstanding commitment and dedication is an honor. His passion for the fire rescue service is incredible and he always demonstrates great teamwork, integrity, excellence, and professionalism.”
