ONE-DAY COLD WEATHER EMERGENCY ADVISORY

DAVIE, Fla. – The National Weather Service is predicting low temperatures overnight on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, including wind chill, in the upper 30's to low 40's in Broward County.
Due to the recent forecast, Broward County has declared a One-Day Cold Weather Emergency from 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, to 8 a.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.
Homeless persons are advised to report to the Salvation Army, 1445 West Broward Blvd., Fort Lauderdale no later than 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon for transportation or access to special cold-night shelters.
However, if the weather forecast changes to predict warmer or colder conditions, cold weather emergency shelter nights may be canceled or extended. If there are changes to this declaration, they will be issued no later than 1 p.m. on the date of the event.
