En Español

DAVIE, Fla. – The Town of Davie is extending the deadline for the COVID-19 Rental Eviction Prevention and Foreclosure Prevention programs through Friday, October 9, 2020 [Modified], or when all funds are expended (whichever occurs first). The programs help Davie residents who have been financially impacted by the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Town of Davie received a distribution of $405,000 in Coronavirus Relief Funds from Florida Housing Finance Corporation to administer these programs. The Rental Eviction Prevention and Foreclosure Prevention programs are designed to assist Davie residents with a maximum award of up to $13,000 to cover six months of payment. To qualify for this program, renters must reside in the Town of Davie and be able to document that they were unable to pay strictly due to temporary loss of income, reduction in hours, or unemployment exclusively as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Assistance will only be provided for rents and mortgages past due as of April 1, 2020, and onward.

The program applications are available on the Town website at www.davie-fl.gov/606/Community-Services. Hard copies of the application can be picked up outside the Town of Davie’s Community Services Division (CSD) office located at 4700 SW 64 Avenue Suite D, Davie, FL 33314.

Completed applications must be submitted no later than October 2, 2020, by mail or via the locked drop-box located at the CSD at 4700 SW 64 Avenue Suite D, Davie, FL 33314 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Applications will not be accepted after hours or on weekends.

When dropping-off applications, please adhere to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) COVID-19 guidelines, as well as, local and state mandates.
