Town of Davie Maximizing Efforts to Prepare for Hurricane

At a Town CouncilMeeting today, the Davie Town Council declared a State of Emergency for the

The Davie Emergency Management officials are closely monitoringHurricane Irma and will be fully activating the Town of Davie Emergency
Operations Center on Friday, September 8, 2017.

Please take note of theclosures/cancellations below:

§  All Town of Davie governmental offices will be closed on
Friday, September 8 until further notice.

§  All Town of Davie organized sports activities are cancelled until furthernotice.

§  All Town of Davie parks are
open today and tomorrow (Thursday) but will be closed beginning Friday until furthernotice.

§  The Town of Davie Green and
Blue Bus Routes will cease operations on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 12:00p.m.

Broward County/State of Florida:

§       Pet owners who wish to utilize the pet-friendly shelter,
must call the Humane Society of Broward County at 954-989-3977. In order to usethe pet-friendly shelter, you must show proof that your pet has received a
rabies vaccination and is registered with Broward County. Please prepare a PetSurvival Kit to be taken with your pet to the shelter.

§      All Broward County schools and District offices will be
closed on Thursday, September 7 and Friday, September 8, 2017, as the Districtand Broward County prepare for Hurricane Irma, which includes the preparation
of schools designated as hurricane shelters. The District continues to monitorand prepare for the storm. BCPS will operate on a normal schedule on Wednesday,
September 6, 2017.

§      Tolls have been suspended onall Florida Highways.

Town of Davie Horse Release Program:

If you have not done so already, residents
are encouraged to register your horses now for the Town of Davie’s 
Horse Release program by tomorrow, September 7,2017 at 5 p.m. For more information, please call 954-797-1181.
