COVID-19 UPDATE 47:
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF SELECTED TOWN OF DAVIE PARKS AND BROWARD COUNTY BEACH CLOSURES FROM JULY 3-5
DAVIE, Fla. – Due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, the Town of Davie is temporarily closing the following Town parks for the Fourth of July holiday starting Friday, July 3, 2020, at 7:00 pm with parks reopening on Monday, July 6, 2020:
Broward County has also issued Emergency Order 20-19 which closes Broward County beaches on Friday, July 3, 2020, and reopens the beaches on Monday, July 6, 2020.
As we head towards the Fourth of July holiday, large gatherings are strongly discouraged as we continue to see a spike in the positive COVID-19 test. Residents are reminded to stay home if they are able, wash their hands often, observe social distancing and wear a facial covering in public. Social distancing and facial coverings when in public areas are required in Broward County, and are critical to slowing the spread of COVID-19.
