COVID-19 UPDATE 46:
TOWN OF DAVIE FOURTH OF JULY EVENT IS CANCELED; FIREWORKS TASK FORCE; OFFICE CLOSURES

DAVIE, Fla – In adherence to the regulations set in place by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Town of Davie is saddened to announce that the 2020 Fourth of July Celebration scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2020, at the Bamford Sports Complex is canceled. The decision to cancel the event was made because of current Broward County restrictions on large gatherings and to protect the community from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Firework Task Force
The Davie Police Department and its Code Compliance Division will be enforcing the use of illegal fireworks throughout the Town before and after the Fourth of July holiday. Please be courteous to neighbors and animals in your area as fireworks can create a public nuisance.
On July 4, 2020, the Town will receive fireworks complaints at 954-764-4357 to report disturbances in your area. A special fireworks task force will be dedicated to handling firework specific complaints.
This fireworks complaint line and the task force will be available before and after July 4, 2020. This number is not a replacement for 911. Please call 911 in the event of an emergency.
Office Closures
The Town of Davie governmental offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2020, in observance of the Independence Day Holiday. All parks and recreation facility will proceed with regular hours of operation. Pine Island Multipurpose Center remains closed

Friday: 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1p.m. to 7 p.m.
Pine Island Aquatic Center
Friday: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. (reservation only)

Per Broward County Emergency Order 20-08, visitors are required to wear face coverings, maintain at least a six-feet distance from individuals outside of their party, can participate in limited active and passive uses by individuals and families, cannot gather in groups larger than ten and follow current Center for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.
