DAVIE, Fla. – Effective immediately, a precautionary boil water notice has been issued for the properties located between Stirling Road and SW 53rd Street, from SW 64th Avenue to SW 58th Avenue (see map below).
On Wednesday, June 10, 2020, the Town of Davie Utilities Operations team was performing repairs to a water main while the area referenced above experienced low or no water pressure for approximately 50 minutes. The repair was completed, and the area was flushed. As a precaution, the Town of Davie Utilities Department, as per Florida Administrative Code, F.A.C.62-555.340(5), is issuing a precautionary boil water notice effective immediately.
The precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until two consecutive days of passing test results are received as per Florida Administrative Code. Residents are advised that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.
