GRADUATION PARADE ROAD CLOSURES ON JUNE 6-7, 2020; SHENANDOAH PARK HOURS MODIFIED FOR JUNE 7
DAVIE, Fla. -The Town of Davie is holding two commencement parades for seniors graduating from Nova High School and Western High School. The parades are scheduled for Saturday, June 6, and Sunday, June 7, 2020, respectively. Due to these graduation parades, several streets will be closed to traffic.
Nova High School Graduation Parade Road Closure – Saturday, June 6, 2020
On Saturday, June 6, 2020, road closures are expected from 10:45 a.m. until 1 p.m. The vehicular parade will begin at Town Hall, 6591 Orange Drive, and travel south on SW 65th Avenue, west on Orange Drive, north on SW 67th Avenue, west on SW 39th Street and north on College Avenue to SW 30th Street.
Residents who live along SW 39th Street whose only access to their residence is on SW 39th Street may have limited access to their residence while the parade passes. If possible, residents will be escorted to or from their residence by Davie Police Department. Please plan to use an alternate route during the vehicular parade, if feasible. (Parade route on Map 1)
Western High School Graduation Parade Road Closure – Sunday, June 7, 2020
On Sunday, June 7, 2020, from 1:45 p.m. until 4 p.m., SW 14th Street will be closed from SW 148th Avenue to SW 136th Avenue/Wildcat Way and SW 136th Avenue/Wildcat Way will be closed from SW 14th Street to Appalachian Trail.
Residents who live along SW 14th Street whose only access to their residence is on SW 14th Street will be escorted to or from their residence by Davie Police Department. Please plan to use an alternate route during this period, if feasible.
Shenandoah Park, 14601 SW 14th Street will be closed from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2020 (Parade route on Map 2)
