Location: Virtual Public Hearing

*Please be advised that one or more members of the Town Council may attend*

On March 27, 2020 the Federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES) was signed into law to assist communities in their efforts to prevent, prepare for and respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The CARES Act included supplemental formula allocations to HUD’s CPD programs, including Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for the Town of Davie. The additional CDBG CARES Act funds allocated to the Town is $404,285, with provisions that suspend the 15% cap on public services and allows HUD to waive further program requirements if necessary. The Town of Davie also reallocated prior year CDBG program funds toward the Purchase Assistance Program to help low and moderate-income households with home purchases. In order to access the additional CDBG CARES Act funding, the Town of Davie will need to amend its 2019 CDBG Annual Action Plan and Citizen Participation Plan.
