En Español
DAVIE, Fla. - The Town of Davie has established a COVID-19 Rental Eviction Prevention Program to assist Davie residents who have been impacted by the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Applications will be accepted starting Friday, May 1, 2020. Applications will only be accepted by mail at 4700 SW 64 Avenue Suite D Davie, FL 33314.
The program is designed to assist Davie households earning less than 80% the area median income with one-time rental and utilities (electricity and water) assistance during the coronavirus pandemic. To qualify for this program, renters must reside in the Town of Davie and be able to document that they were unable to pay their rent strictly due to temporary loss of income, reduction in hours, or unemployment exclusively as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Funding for this program is available through the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program and the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and administered by the Town of Davie’s Community Services Division staff. Assistance will only be provided for rents due beginning on April 1, 2020, and onward.
