DAVIE, Fla. – In our current environment, the Town’s goal is to take all necessary proactive steps and measures to reduce the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). We realize this is likely a stressful time, and we want to assure you that the Town is doing everything we can to help promote the health and safety of our community during this pandemic. We all have a role to play, and we need everyone’s help and cooperation in following all directives. For all prior information posted regarding COVID-19, please visit our website at www.davie-fl.gov/coronavirus.
Broward County Emergency Order 20-07
Broward County Administrator Bertha Henry issued Emergency Order 20-07, which instructs all persons in Broward County to wear a facial covering when visiting essential businesses for services and are required for those who are providing essential services during in-person interactions with the public. This order does not apply to young children under the age of two, and individuals who have difficulty breathing, nor to public safety, fire, and life safety personnel, as their Personal Protective Equipment requirements would be governed by their respective agencies.
This order complements the Town of Davie’s Emergency Order 20-03 , which strongly urges all citizens to use cloth face coverings while utilizing essential services or engaging in essential activities, in addition to other recommended social distancing measures.
Davie Restaurant Outreach
The Town of Davie has created an outreach initiative for all restaurants located throughout the Town. Restaurants are asked to complete the required form so we can have a centralized list of restaurants that are open. Many residents may not be aware that specific restaurants are still operational, so a restaurant directory is a great way to keep you in the know and promote local restaurants. The information being asked for on the form includes the name of the restaurant, hours of operation, cuisine, pickup/delivery options, etc. A complete list of restaurants will be posted once the information is made available. Help us, Help our Restaurants.
