COVID-19 Update#20 - Safer-At-Home Order Extends to Entire State of Florida

DAVIE, Fla. – As the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to impact the community, the Town of Davie will continue to prioritize the health and safety of our residents, businesses and visitors. For prior COVID-19 updates visit, www.davie-fl.gov/coronavirus.


Safer-at-Home Executive Order (#2020-91)

Today, Governor Ron DeSantis extended the Safer-at-Home Executive Order to the entire state of Florida effective April 3, 2020, at 12:01 a.m. through April 30, 2020. The order reiterates that persons are ordered to remain home other than to engage or patronize essential businesses or conduct essential activities, seniors and other individuals with underlying conditions are to limit their exposure, practice social distancing, and follow all other preventive guidelines issued by health officials. 


Please note, the guidelines in this order have been in effect for the Town Davie and complements the Town’s Safer-at-Home Order released on March 27, 2020. There has been no curfew issued for the Town.


What can you do?

  • Go to the grocery, convenience or warehouse store
  • Go to the pharmacy or other medical establishments to pick up medications and other healthcare necessities
  • Go to medical appointments (but first, check with your doctor or medical provider)
  • Go to a restaurant for take-out or drive-thru
  • Take a walk, run, or exercise outside - just remember to practice social distancing -- that means at least 6 feet between you and others in the community
  • Go to a restaurant for take-out or drive-thru
