SAFER AT HOME ORDER ISSUED FOR FOUR COUNTIES; REQUIREMENTS FOR INDIVIDUALS TRAVELING TO FLORIDA; RESTAURANT CONNECTION

DAVIE, Fla. – With the unpredictability surrounding the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), the safety of our residents is of utmost importance, especially during this time. Our goal is to do all we can to reduce the chances of COVID-19 from spreading and ensure we provide a safe environment for all residents. Executive Orders
Today, March 30, 2020, Governor Ron DeSantis issued a uniformed Safer-at-Home Executive Order for Broward, Palm Beach, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties through mid-May.
Governor DeSantis also issued recently an Executive Order which directs all persons who enter the State of Florida from an area with substantial community spread, to include the State of Louisiana, inclusive of those entering the State of Florida by roadways, to isolate or quarantine for a period of 14 days from the time of entry into the State of Florida or the duration of the person’s presence in the State of Florida, whichever is shorter.
Davie Restaurant Outreach
The Town of Davie is kicking off an outreach initiative for all restaurants located throughout the Town. Restaurants are asked to complete the required form so we can have a centralized list of restaurants that are open. Our goal is to disseminate this information to our residents and other members of the public through the resources that are available to the Town. Many residents may not be aware that specific restaurants are still operational, so a restaurant directory is a great way to keep them in the know and promote local restaurants. The information being asked for on the form includes the name of the restaurant, hours of operation, cuisine, pickup/delivery options, etc. A complete list of restaurants will be posted once the information is made available. Town Facilities/Events
All Town facilities are closed to the public. However, residents are advised to continue to contact Town departments through telephone or email via the staff directory located on our website at www.davie-fl.gov/directory. Residents are encouraged to reduce exposure to large gatherings and if possible, stay home. All Town events are canceled until further notice.
