Self-Isolation and Protective Measures for The Vulnerable Population; Covid-19 Test Sites in Broward County

DAVIE, Fla. – The Town of Davie continues to monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and its impact on our community. We recommend our community continue following the advice from these authorities including regular hand washing and social distancing. For prior COVID-19 updates visit, www.davie-fl.gov/coronavirus.


Executive Order 20-82

Governor Ron DeSantis issued Executive Order 20-82, directing all persons who enter the State of Florida from an area with substantial community spread, to include the New York Tri-State Area (Connecticut, New Jersey and New York), to isolate or quarantine for a period of 14 days from the time of entry into the State of Florida or the duration of the person’s presence in the State of Florida, whichever is shorter. All individuals traveling from these areas are directed to inform any individual in Florida with whom they have had direct physical contact in the past 21 days that they traveled from an area with substantial community spread.


Executive Order 20-83

The Governor has also issued Executive Order 20-83, directing the State Surgeon General and State Health Officer to issue a public health advisory to all persons over 65 years of age urging them to stay home and to take such other measures as necessary to limit their risk of exposure to COVID-19.


COVID-19 Test Sites in Broward County

Broward Health

The address of the Pompano Beach test site will be disclosed to those who make an appointment.

Testing Hours: By appointment only


Who can be tested?

Patients must receive a written prescription from a physician and then call 954-320-5730 (open 7 am. to 7 p.m.) to register for a test.

Those who qualify will then have to show a photo ID, the written prescription and the registration confirmation number once they arrive at the site.

 

C.B. Smith Park (Florida National Guard partnering with Memorial Healthcare System)

Address: 900 N. Flamingo Rd., Pembroke Pines

Testing Hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily


Who can be tested?

First responders and healthcare staff, including police, fire-rescue, medical staff and essential staff that is supporting the management agencies during the coronavirus pandemic. You must have COVID-19 symptoms and be prepared to show ID.

People who are 65 or older with COVID-19 symptoms and have chronic conditions. You must show I.D.

Individuals who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and have recently traveled internationally on a cruise or plane or have a compromised immune system. You must show I.D.

Pembroke Pines police say you can call 954-276-4680 in advance to pre-register for a screening. The registration hotline will open at 1 p.m. Monday.

 

 

Cleveland Clinic Florida

Town Facilities Closures

Considering the public health concerns related to COVID-19, the Town of Davie has closed all Town facilities to public access. We encourage residents to contact the Town by phone or email. All Town parks are closed until further notice. Open spaces and trails remain open.


COVID-19 Hotline

Broward County, in partnership with the Florida Department of Health, has opened a special telephone line to assist in answering public questions about COVID-19. Call takers can also conduct over-the-phone pre-screening for testing eligibility. The new number is 954-357-9500. The temporary COVID-19 call center will accept calls from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., 7 days a week.
