BROWARD COUNTY CLOSES ALL NONESSENTIAL BUSINESSES STARTING MONDAY, MARCH 23, 2020 AT 12:01 A.M.

DAVIE, Fla., - Today, Broward County issued Emergency Order 20-01 which orders all non-essential retail and commercial businesses throughout Broward County to close. The closure takes effect on March 23, 2020, at 12:01 a.m.
The Emergency Order identifies the retail and commercial businesses that shall abide by this order, as well, as those businesses that will not be impacted by this order. Everyone is encouraged to review Sections 3 – 9 of the order to determine whether their individual business(es) are impacted by this order.
Businesses unimpacted by this order are urged to practice social distancing, and all preventive measures/guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention and Florida Department of Health to help reduce and stop the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
COVID-19 Hotline
As of Saturday, March 21, 2020, Broward County, in partnership with the Florida Department of Health, has opened a special telephone line to assist in answering public questions about COVID-19. Call takers can also conduct over-the-phone pre-screening for testing eligibility. The new number is 954-357-9500. The temporary COVID-19 call center will accept calls from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., 7 days a week.
