FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MARCH 1, 2020
NOVA DRIVE ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS
From Davie Road to S.W. 76th Avenue
DAVIE, Fla., - The major infrastructure work for the Nova Drive Roadway project is nearing completion and will now be entering into the paving phase of the construction work. This is anticipated to take approximately three weeks to implement. Weekley Asphalt Paving, Inc. will be beginning the first phase of its paving operations starting Monday, March 2, 2020 on Nova Drive beginning at S.W. 70th Avenue and progressing west to S.W. 71st Terrace. This section of work is expected to be completed by Thursday, March 5, 2020 and will be performed 24 hours around the clock until completed.
Once this first phase is completed, paving operations will be reduced to single shift work and methodically continue in the remaining sections of the Nova Drive corridor until the pavement widening and asphalt lift work is completed between College Avenue and University Drive. Paving operations will then be suspended until landscaping, other work items and clean-up are finished, and reconvened with the final asphalt lift anticipated in late March to early April 2020.
Traffic will be reduced to a shared single lane with flag personnel, and drivers are encouraged to take alternate routes other than Nova Drive to their destinations, whenever possible. Please expect delays.
Your patience and understanding continues to be greatly appreciated. We apologize for any inconvenience as we complete these improvements in the neighborhood.
