HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE (HHW), ELECTRONICS RECYCLING, PRESCRIPTION DROP-OFF AND SHRED-A-THON EVENTS WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2019

 

Davie, Fla.- The next residential Household Hazardous Waste (HHW), Electronics Recycling Prescription Drop-Off, and Shred-A-Thon events are scheduled for Saturday, November 9, 2019. These events will take place at Davie Pine Island Park located at 3801 S Pine Island Rd, Davie, FL 33328.

The HHW, Electronics Recycling and Prescription Drop-Off events will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Shred-A-Thon will only be held from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

 

Some acceptable HHW items are paint (latex and oil-based), aerosol cans, household cleaners, gasoline, pesticides, pool chlorine, used oil, and filters. Some acceptable electronic items for recycling are cables, computers, DVD players, keyboards, adapters, monitors, printers, scanners, radios, stereo components, and VCRs.

Unacceptable items include tube televisions, appliances, asbestos, explosives or ammunition, medical/infectious waste, non-residential waste and tires.
