DAVIE PARTNERS WITH HOPE OUTREACH CENTER FOR THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE, NOVEMBER 4-20, 2019
DAVIE, Fla. - The Town of Davie is partnering with HOPE Outreach Center, Inc. to host a Thanksgiving Food Drive starting Monday, November 4 through Wednesday, November 20, 2019. Items can be dropped off between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Davie Town Hall (Administration-Building A), 6591 Orange Drive and Pine Island Multipurpose Center, 3801 S. Pine Island Road.
HOPE Outreach Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that develops and provides services that impact the quality of life for individuals and families in our community. HOPE Outreach Center is a local approach to meeting the needs of our residents by providing better access and expanding our level of service.
The following items are suggested items for donation. A complete list of items needed is available on the Town’s website.
2- (14 oz) can of mixed vegetables
1- (40 oz) can of yams
2- (16 oz) cans of turkey gravy
2- (14 oz) cans of cranberry sauce
2- (15 oz) can of black beans
2- (14 oz) cans of corn
2- (14oz) cans of green beans
1- (15 oz) box of instant mashed potatoes
2- (6oz) bags of stuffing
1- (6Pack) individual apple sauce cups
1 - bag/package of cookies
1- family size can of fruit cocktail
1- box of crackers (saltines, ritz, etc.)
$30 gift card for a turkey
We ask that you follow the food list provided and make no substitutions. We want all our families to receive the same special feast. If you can't purchase all the items on the list, please donate whatever you can.
