UPCOMING ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE
AND THE TOWN OF DAVIE (95 EXPRESS LANES PHASE 3)

I-95 from south of Hollywood Boulevard in the City of Hollywood to south of Broward Boulevard in the City of Fort Lauderdale and I-595 from I-95 to SR- 7 in the Town of Davie (95 Express Phase 3C)
Traffic Impact:
- I-595, over Pond Apple Slough Bridge, will have two inside lanes closed in each direction, 10 p.m. until 5:30 a.m., Sunday, October 13 through Thursday, October 17.
- I-595 eastbound will have three lanes closed, as needed, Sunday, October 13 through Thursday, October 17, between west of SR 7 and east of SW 26 Terrace, with the first lane closing at 9:30 p.m., the second lane closing at 10 p.m., and the third lane closing at 11 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.
- I-595 westbound will have two outside lanes closed, as needed, Sunday, October 13 through Thursday, October 17, between SW 26 Terrace and west of Pond Apple Slough Bridge, with the first lane closing at 9:30 p.m., and the second lane closing at 10 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.
- I-595, from I-95 to SR-7, will have shoulder closures daily and nightly as needed for survey activities.
Advanced Notice:
- I-595 westbound, from the I-95 northbound ramp to SW 26 Terrace, will have one inside lane closed, 9:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m., Sunday, October 20 through Thursday, October 24.
- I-595 eastbound, between east of SW 26 Terrace and east of Anglers Road, will have one inside lane closed, 9:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m., Sunday, October 20 through Thursday, October 24.
- I-95 will have three lanes closed in each direction, Sunday, October 20 through Thursday, October 24, between Davie Road and Stirling Road, with the first lane closing at 9:30 p.m., the second lane closing at 10 p.m., and the third lane closing at 11 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.
- I-95 will have two lanes closed in each direction, as needed, Sunday, October 27 through Thursday, October 31, between Davie Road and Stirling Road, with the first lane closing at 9:30 p.m., and the second lane closing at 10 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.
- I-595 westbound will have three lanes closed, as needed, Sunday, October 27 through Thursday, October 31, between east of SW 26 Street and east of SR 7, with the first lane closing at 9:30 p.m., the second lane closing at 10 p.m., and the third lane closing at 11 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.
Description: Work on this 9-mile 95 Express project includes extending the existing Express Lanes north from just south of Hollywood Boulevard to just south of Broward Boulevard in Broward County. One lane will be added and the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane will be converted to create two Express Lanes in each direction. The number of General Use lanes will remain the same. Other project improvements include the construction of I-95/I-595 Direct Connectors between 95 Express Lanes and I-595, as well as reconstruction, milling, resurfacing and widening of I-595 from SR-7 to I-95 and along I-95 from south of Hollywood Boulevard to south of Broward Boulevard. Additional work includes bridge widening along I-95 at several locations, painting of 17 bridges within project limits, I-95/SR 84 interchange modifications, Integrated Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Installation, including cameras, detectors and dynamic message signs to optimize traffic operations, tolling/gantry construction, ramp signalization implementation at the interchanges, lighting, signage and drainage installation and construction of shoulder-mounted sound walls and retaining walls. Cost/Completion: $457 million. Completion is expected in late 2024.
I-95 from south of Broward Boulevard to north of Commercial Boulevard in the City of Fort Lauderdale (95 Express Phase 3A-1)
Traffic Impacts:
- I-95 will have three lanes closed in each direction Sunday through Thursday night between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. The first two lanes will close at 9 p.m., and the third lane will close at 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. All lanes will be open by 5:30 a.m.
- I-95 in both directions, from south of Davie Boulevard to north of Commercial Boulevard, will have intermittent shoulder and ramp shoulder closures, as needed, daily and nightly.
- Powerline Road at the I-95 overpass will have one lane closed daily, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- NW 19th Street at the I-95 overpass will have one lane closed, daily, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Prospect Road will have one lane closed in each direction, nightly, 10 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.
- I-95 northbound, between Sunrise Boulevard and Oakland Park Boulevard, has a new traffic pattern to allow for outside shoulder construction. This pattern is anticipated to be in place through December 2019, weather permitting.
- Prospect Road at I-95 will be closed to traffic overnight Sunday through Thursday, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., through October 25. Traffic will be detoured via Powerline Road, Commercial Boulevard and Andrews Avenue. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- NW 6th Street at I-95 will undergo a full closure nightly from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, October 13 through November 7. Traffic will be detoured via NW 27th Avenue, NW 15th Avenue and Broward Boulevard. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
Ramp Impact:
- The I-95 northbound entrance ramp from Oakland Park Boulevard will be closed, nightly, as needed, from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via Commercial Boulevard and Powerline Road. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- The I-95 northbound exit ramps to Oakland Park Boulevard will be closed as needed from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via I-95 and Commercial Boulevard. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- The I-95 northbound exit ramp to eastbound Oakland Park Boulevard will have one inside lane closed daily, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., Sunday through Friday.
- The I-95 northbound exit ramp to Commercial Boulevard will be closed as needed, from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via I-95 and Cypress Creek Road. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- The I-95 northbound exit ramp to Commercial Boulevard will have one inside lane closed daily, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., Sunday through Friday.
- The I-95 northbound entrance ramp from Commercial Boulevard will be closed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via Powerline Road and Cypress Creek Road. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- The I-95 southbound exit ramp to Commercial Boulevard will be closed nightly, from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via Oakland Park Boulevard and I-95. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- The I-95 southbound entrance ramps from Commercial Boulevard will be closed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via Powerline Road, Oakland Park Boulevard and I-95. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- The I-95 southbound entrance ramps from Oakland Park Boulevard will be closed, as needed, from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via Powerline Road and Sunrise Boulevard. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- The I-95 southbound exit ramp to Oakland Park Boulevard will be closed, as needed, from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via I-95 and Sunrise Boulevard. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- The I-95 northbound exit ramps Sunrise Boulevard will be closed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via Oakland Park Boulevard and I-95. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- The I-95 northbound entrance ramp from Sunrise Boulevard will be closed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via Oakland Park Boulevard and Powerline Road. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- The I-95 southbound entrance ramps from Sunrise Boulevard will be closed nightly Sunday through Thursday, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., through October. Traffic will be detoured via Powerline Road, Oakland Park Boulevard and I-95. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- The I-95 southbound exit ramp to Sunrise Boulevard will be closed nightly Sunday through Thursday, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., through October. Traffic will be detoured via Broward Boulevard and I-95. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- The I-95 northbound entrance ramp from Broward Park & Ride will be closed nightly, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, October 6 through November 7. Traffic will be detoured via the Broward Boulevard Park & Ride lot and I-95. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- The I-95 southbound exit ramp to Broward Park & Ride will be closed nightly, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, October 6 through November 7. Traffic will be detoured via Broward Boulevard and the Broward Boulevard Park & Ride lot. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
Description: Work on this 6.7-mile 95 Express project includes widening and converting the existing I-95 HOV Lanes to Managed Lanes which will result in two tolled Express Lanes in each direction; the number of General Use lanes will remain the same. Other work includes: widening bridges, sound wall construction, installation of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and tolling equipment and ramp signaling at the I-95 entrance ramps at Davie Road, Broward Boulevard, Sunrise Boulevard, Oakland Park Boulevard and Commercial Boulevard. I-95 from north of Commercial Boulevard in in the City of Fort Lauderdale to south of SW 10th Street in the City of Deerfield Beach (95 Express Phase 3A-2)

This project was Final Accepted by the Florida Department of Transportation on Thursday, October 3, 2019.
Description: Work on this 7.3-mile 95 Express project includes widening and converting the existing I-95 HOV Lanes to Managed Lanes which will result in two tolled Express Lanes in each direction; the number of General Use lanes will remain the same. Other work includes widening bridges, sound wall construction, installation of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and tolling equipment and ramp signaling at the I-95 entrance ramps at Andrews Avenue, Cypress Creek Road and Atlantic Boulevard. I-95 from south of SW 10th Street to south of Glades Road (95 Express Phase 3B-1)
Description: Work on this 4.8-mile 95 Express project includes widening and converting the existing I-95 HOV Lanes to Managed Lanes which will result in two tolled Express Lanes in each direction; the number of General Use lanes will remain the same. Other project improvements include bridge widenings at Palmetto Park Road and Camino Real, complete bridge replacement at the Hillsboro Canal, noise wall construction, portable traffic monitoring sites, toll gantry installation, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) installation, ramp signaling at the I-95 entrance ramps from Palmetto Park Road, Express Lane markers and landscape relocation. - I-95 will have three lanes closed in each direction nightly, as needed, Sunday through Thursday, between SW 10th Street and Glades Road, with the first lane closing at 9:30 p.m., the second lane closing at 10:30 p.m., and the third lane closing at 11:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.
- Palmetto Park Road at I-95 will have two lanes closed in each direction nightly, as needed, Sunday through Thursday. The first lane will close at 9 p.m., and the second lane will close at 10:30 p.m. All lanes will be opened by 5:30 a.m.
- Palmetto Park Road at I-95 will have one lane closed in each direction daily, as needed, from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Camino Real at I-95 will have one lane closed in each direction daily, as needed, from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- I-95 Northbound Full Closure Advanced Notice: I-95 northbound lanes at Hillsboro Boulevard will be closed to traffic overnight, 11:30 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday, October 27 through Thursday, October 31 to shift traffic to the newly constructed northbound segment and bridge over Hillsboro Canal. Traffic will be detoured via the northbound exit ramp to Hillsboro Boulevard west, Military Trail and Palmetto Park Road. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists. Ramp Impact:
- Full Weekend Ramp Closure Notice: The I-95 northbound exit ramp to Palmetto Park Road will undergo a full, around-the-clock closure, from 5 a.m. Saturday morning, October 12 through 5 a.m., Monday morning, October 14 for ramp reconstruction. Traffic will be detoured via the northbound exit ramp to Hillsboro Boulevard west, Military Trail and Palmetto Park Road. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- The I-95 northbound exit ramp to Palmetto Park Road will be closed nightly, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Motorists will be detoured via I-95 northbound, Hillsboro Boulevard, and Military Trail. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from westbound Palmetto Park Road will be closed nightly, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Motorists will be detoured via Military Trail and Hillsboro Boulevard. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from eastbound Palmetto Park Road will be closed nightly, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Motorists will be detoured via Military Trail and Hillsboro Boulevard. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- The northbound entrance ramp from eastbound and westbound Palmetto Park Road will be closed nightly, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via I-95 southbound to Hillsboro Boulevard to I-95 northbound.
- The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from eastbound Hillsboro Boulevard will be closed nightly, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Motorists will be detoured via Military Trail and SW 10th Street. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- The I-95 northbound entrance ramp from eastbound Hillsboro Boulevard will be closed nightly, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Motorists will be detoured via Military Trail and Palmetto Park Road. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- The I-95 northbound entrance ramp from westbound Hillsboro Boulevard will be closed nightly, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Motorists will be detoured via Military Trail and Palmetto Park Road. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists.
- The I-95 northbound exit ramp to eastbound Hillsboro Boulevard will be closed nightly, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Motorists will be detoured via Palmetto Park Road and South Dixie Highway. FHP will be on-site to assist motorists. Please note that ramp closures will be performed as needed per nighttime construction operations; consecutive ramps will not be closed at the same time.
