TOWN OF DAVIE SOLID WASTE INFORMATION UPDATE
HURRICANE DORIAN ADVISORY #2
DAVIE, Fla.- The Town of Davie is continuing to monitor Hurricane Dorian. Residents should refrain from putting bulk items out at this time as South Florida is currently in the cone of uncertainty for the hurricane. Next week’s bulk pickup schedule may be suspended as the storm approaches and bulk items left out can become harmful projectiles in high winds.
The Town’s Code Compliance inspectors will issue citations to homeowners who place bulk items both curbside and on the swale before the designated bulk week.
The Town will post any solid waste cancellation/postponement on the Town of Davie’s website at www.davie-fl.govand the Town of Davie’s social media accounts: Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram(@TownofDavie) once the updates become available.
Residents are encouraged to continuously monitor the Town’s website and social media for any changes.
