TOWN OF DAVIE MULTIPURPOSE TRAIL MASTER PLAN MEETING, AUGUST 13, 2019 AT 7:00 P.M.
Davie, Fla., - The Town of Davie is hosting a meeting to discuss the Multipurpose Trail Master Plan on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Pine Island Multipurpose Center located at 3801 S. Pine Island Road, Davie, FL 33328 at 7:00 p.m. All residents and various trail groups throughout the Town are invited to attend to provide input and feedback on the plan.
Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. was hired by the Town of Davie to prepare a comprehensive Multipurpose Trail Master Plan for the Town. The purpose of the plan is to define a system of trails within the Town of Davie that can provide integrated and continuous corridors for non-motorized transportation and recreation throughout the Town in a manner that is sensitive to the needs of various user groups (bicyclist, pedestrian, and equestrian).
The plan evaluates alternative locations and design criteria that will result in a well-balanced and integrated trail system. The plan will include prioritization of specific projects for future funding and implementation, and supporting information on costs, funding, and management of the identified facilities.
The plan shall be developed to assist the Town in promoting future urban development patterns that maintain ecological corridors, scenic transportation corridors, and linear recreational areas while providing a more efficient and suitable pattern of growth.
