2nd Annual Joseph J. Montopoli Memorial Golf Tournament Set for October 13th
The Davie-Cooper City Chamber of Commerce and Kids Can proudly announce the 2nd Annual Joseph J. Montopoli Memorial Golf Tournament. The event will be on Friday, October 13th, 2017 at Davie Golf Club with a shotgun start at 1:00 PM.
The golf tournament is dedicated to the memory of Fire Chief Montopoli who passed away unexpectedly in 2016 after serving the Town of Davie for over 10 years. Chief Montopoli came to Davie after serving a successful 25-year career in Pembroke Pines.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Kids Can and the Davie-Cooper City Chamber of Commerce. Kids Can is a local nonprofit organization based on the concept of kids helping kids. Their mission is to unlock the potential in our children by empowering them with the opportunity to give back to the community and enrich the lives of children who may be less fortunate.
Entry fee for the 2nd Annual Joseph J. Montopoli Memorial Golf Tournament is $125 per player, and includes gift bag, golf, lunch, beverages, dinner and prizes. The tournament will feature the return of the popular Ladder Truck Golf Ball Drop and donations for balls can be made prior to the event. Course contests during the tournament will be Longest Drive, Closest-to-the-Pin, Putting Contest, and Hole In One Contest. A tournament awards dinner will follow completion of play and trophies will be presented to the 1st Place Team.
