Town of Davie Planned Emergency Alert Test on Wednesday, June 26, 2019
Davie, FL - The Town of Davie will conduct a townwide test of its Emergency Notification System-Everbridge, on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at 10 a.m. Do not be alarmed. This is only a test.
The following Everbridge test message will be transmitted:
This is a TEST of the Town of Davie’s Emergency Notification System. You are currently enrolled to receive emergency notifications directly from the Town of Davie and Severe Weather from the National Weather Service. During an actual emergency, including a hurricane, you will receive pertinent lifesaving and property preservation information for you, your family or business directly to your phone or email. Hurricane Season runs from June 1 to November 30 and we urge all residents and businesses to make a hurricane plan, get hurricane supplies and stay informed throughout the season. For more information on how to get prepared for this hurricane season please visit www.davie-fl.gov/hurricane.
If you are a subscriber, when the Town issues a notification about a potential safety hazard or concern, you will receive a voice message or text communication. If requested for the notification, please confirm that you have received the message and you will not be contacted by any subsequent methods regarding that particular notification. If you do not confirm, the system will continue to attempt to reach you at all contact paths that you have listed.
Testing the system is an essential aspect of the Town’s emergency operations procedure. It provides the Town’s emergency management personnel with feedback on the system, allows emergency personnel to prepare for a real emergency, and provides the opportunity to troubleshoot any issues that may occur before a possible life-threatening situation.
