FAA Airspace Workshop on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 3 p.m.
DAVIE, Fla. - The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is hosting a fact-finding, informal airspace workshop for the public regarding plans to modify the controlled airspace areas in Miami, FL (Class B Airspace) and Fort Lauderdale, FL (Class C Airspace).
The workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Broward College, South Campus (Building 69, Room 133), 7200 Pines Blvd., Pembroke Pines, FL 33024 from 3 p.m. to
5 p.m.
These modifications are being made to improve safe separation of aircraft following existing instrument approach procedures into Miami and Fort Lauderdale from other aircraft flying in the same general area. Modifications to the controlled airspace will not cause an increase in traffic.
The meeting will provide interested parties with an opportunity to present views, recommendations, and written comments on the proposed changes. Only comments concerning the plan to modify the controlled airspace will be accepted. FAA representatives will be available to hear from attendees desiring to provide a presentation.
