Annual Davie Hurricane Preparedness Open House, May 30, 2019 at 6 p.m.
DAVIE, Fla. - The annual Town of Davie Hurricane Preparedness Open House is Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Pine Island Multipurpose Center (gymnasium), 3801 S. Pine Island Road.
The open house will provide educational information, presentations and materials related to hurricane preparedness and recovery. Residents will also have the opportunity to pre-register for shelters (special needs and pet friendly), understand how to organize hurricane supplies, register for the Town’s horse release program, sign up for emergency alerts, and participate in other interactive preparedness exercises.
Several hurricane and emergency experts will be available to answer any questions attendees might have.
This event is free and open to the public. Residents can also explore fire trucks, police units, visit various vendor booths, sign up for emergency alerts, participate in multiple giveaways and win prizes throughout the evening.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Hurricane season begins June 1 through November 30. The best time to prepare is now.
