Road Closure: SW 58th Avenue from Griffin Road to SW 48th Street, March 4 – May 6, 2019
As part of the off-site development requirements for Horseshoe Lake, the Town of Davie will be closing Southwest 58th Avenue from Griffin Road to Southwest 48th Street on March 4 through May 6, 2019. Residents and motorists are asked to avoid this area and seek alternative routes while the roadwork is underway. Local traffic will be directed to Stirling Road to access Southwest 58th Avenue for ingress/egress to their homes. Please expect delays during this period.
The roadwork includes rebuilding Southwest 58th Avenue and widening the road to include a right turn lane. This section of the roadway has underlying mucky soil conditions requiring complete road removal. With the existing canal and right-of-way width restrictions, the work cannot be reasonably and safely performed without closing the road. The road closure is estimated to be 60 days to provide sufficient time to perform the work.
