Town of Davie Installing Wildlife Notices in
Town Parks
The Town of Davie recently began installing wildlife notices
throughout its parks that are located in close proximity to water bodies. This
is to help our residents and visitors stay safe while enjoying the natural
resources and scenery in our parks. Residents and visitors are strongly
encouraged to review the safety tips before visiting our parks.
Your safety is important to us. Please keep these important
safety tips in mind while visiting our parks:
- Town of Davie parks may be home to wildlife
- Be aware of your surroundings and avoid the water’s edge
- Alligators, snakes and other animals live in these areas
- Do not approach, feed, or taunt alligators, snakes, or other
wildlife
- Pets, where permitted, must be on a leash no longer than six
feet
- No swimming or wading in water
- Please remember to use common sense while in our parks
If you spot an alligator in a Town park or have concerns,
please contact Town of Davie Park Rangers at 954-797-1159. To report nuisance
alligators please contact Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Nuisance
Alligator Hotline at 866-FWC-GATOR (866-392-4286).
