The 2018 Atlantic Hurricane Season begins today, June 1 and Hurricane Supplies Tax Free Week is June 1-7, 2018

Hurricane season is June 1 through November 30. It is important to stay prepared throughout the season. Although the Town, County, State, and Federal governments have various responsibilities to residents, members of each family must prepare to take care of themselves for at least five (5) days.
All residents are strongly encouraged to have a plan before an incident occurs. A family support plan reduces the number of decisions that need to be made when stress levels are high and ensures that family members are safe and secure during an emergency.
Sign up for Davie Alerts or text AlertDavie to 888777. The Town uses the Everbridge Alert Program to inform our residents and the public about issues that may affect your safety.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the disaster preparedness tax free week, June 1 – 7, 2018, to stock up on the hurricane supplies (flashlights, batteries, generators, power units, fuel containers, tarpaulins, etc.) you would need in case of an emergency. For a complete list of qualifying items, visit, floridarevenue.com/disasterprep.
Remember, the best way to make your family and home safer is to be prepared before a disaster happens.
