TOWN OF DAVIE DIAPER DONATION DRIVE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE GREATER FORT LAUDERDALE DIAPER BANK
DAVIE, Fla. – The Town of Davie is hosting a Diaper Donation Drive in partnership with the Greater Fort Lauderdale Diaper Bank (GFLDB) beginning September 12, 2023. Donations will help provide families in need and other supporting non-profit community organizations with diapers and other related products.
Items can be dropped off Monday through Sunday during the following times at the locations listed below. The Town will only accept items until Sunday, September 24, 2023.
Drop-off Locations:
Monday - Thursday
- Town Clerk’s Office (Building C): 8800 SW 36th Street | 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Pine Island Multipurpose Center: 3801 S. Pine Island Road | 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Pine Island Fitness and Aquatic Center: 3800 SW 92nd Ave. | 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Davie Police Department Lobby: 1230 South Nob Hill Road | 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Davie Fire Rescue Department Main Lobby: 6901 Orange Drive | 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Friday
- Pine Island Fitness and Aquatic Center: 3800 SW 92nd Ave. | 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Pine Island Multipurpose Center: 3801 S. Pine Island Road | 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday - Sunday
- Pine Island Fitness and Aquatic Center: 3800 SW 92nd Ave. | 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Pine Island Multipurpose Center: 3801 S. Pine Island Road | 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Items being accepted:
- Adult diapers
- Newborn diapers
- Size 1-7 diapers
- Pull Ups 2T-5T
- Baby wipes
GFLDB assists low-income families and their children in South Florida by supplying diapers and related items. On September 6, 2023, the organization will receive a proclamation recognizing National Diaper Need Awareness Week, observed from September 18 to September 24, 2023, during the scheduled Town Council meeting. This proclamation aims to raise awareness about the increasing problem of diaper needs throughout the United States.
The organization requests that donations be new and unopened. Please note that the Town of Davie will not distribute the collected items. For more information about the Greater Fort Lauderdale Diaper Bank, visit www.ftldiaperbank.org.
