 Davie Police Conducts Town Hall Active Assailant Training on Monday, Sept. 11, 2023

Training is only open to Davie Staff

DAVIE, Fla. - The Davie Police Department will hold an active assailant training on Monday, September 11, 2023, at the Pine Island Multipurpose Center, located at 3801 S. Pine Island Road and the Fitness and Aquatic Center located at 3800 SW 92nd Ave. The training will take place from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. As a reminder, this training is only available to Town staff.  

During the training, the Town staff at these buildings will be unavailable to conduct regular Town business and the respective facilities will be inaccessible for recreational programming, and other services. The facilities will resume regular operations at 5 p.m.

The active assailant training will consist of indoor/conference room activities and hands-on/outdoor exercises, which may result in loud bangs and noises. Please do not be alarmed as this is only a training.

All other Town business conducted at Pine Island Park at the Town Hall site, 8800 SW 36th Street, will be unimpacted. In addition, all scheduled sports programming and access to fields at Pine Island Park will not be affected by this training. 

Informational signs will be placed at the park’s entrances to ensure that those using the facility are aware of the ongoing training.

There will be no opportunities for the media to participate.
