EMERGENCY GENERATOR TESTING AT DAVIE PINE ISLAND MULTIPURPOSE CENTER TODAY AT 2 P.M.

Town Hall services to the public may be temporarily interrupted


NEW UPDATE AS OF 3 P.M., JULY, 20, 2023: The emergency generator testing is now complete. Town Hall regular services are operating as normal.


DAVIE, FL – The Town of Davie will conduct essential emergency generator testing today, July 20, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Davie Pine Island Multipurpose Center (PIMPC), located at 3801 S. Pine Island Road. The testing aims to assess the facility's preparedness during power outages and enhance its resilience in emergency situations.

During the testing period, it is expected that certain Town Hall services to the public may experience temporary interruptions, as it is near the PIMPC facility at 8800 SW 36th Street, Davie, FL 33328. This test may include disruptions to internet access, network services and network applications. Additionally, internal phone lines may also be affected during the testing process.

The departments potentially impacted by this emergency generator testing are as follows: 

  • Office of the Mayor and Town Council
  • Administration Department
  • Budget and Finance Department 
  • Building Division
  • Business Tax Receipts
  • Community Redevelopment Agency
  • Engineering Division
  • Human Resources
  • Information Technology
  • Office of the Town Attorney
  • Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts (PRCA)
    • PRCA Administration
    • Pine Island Multipurpose Center 
    • Pine Island Fitness and Aquatic Center
  • Planning and Zoning Division
  • Town Clerk’s Office
  • Utilities Customer Service 

While the Town Hall services may experience temporary interruptions, efforts will be made to keep any disruptions brief and to maintain regular services as soon as the testing is completed. 

Residents and visitors are advised to plan accordingly and be mindful of the possibility of short-term service interruptions during the testing period.
