TOWN OF DAVIE HOSTS TAKE-A-KID FISHIN’ ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 5, 2023
DAVIE, Fla. – The Town of Davie’s Take-a-Kid Fishin’ event, originally scheduled for June 5, 2023, is rescheduled for Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Davie Golf Course, located at 8201 Nova Drive.
This event is open to children ages 5 to 12. Prizes will be awarded for different categories including:
- Longest fish caught
- Most fish caught
- Most unusual catch
- Sportsmanship award
To participate, individuals must pre-register at www.davie-fl.gov/eventregistration. The cost to participate is $10 per child and includes lunch, Take-a-Kid Fishin’ t-shirt and a can of warms. Registration will close on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.
All children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event. Participants must bring their own fishing pole with line, hooks, bobbers and additional fishing tackle.
