 Davie Police Conducts Town Hall Active Assailant Training on Friday, May 26, 2023

Training is only open to Davie Staff

   

DAVIE, Fla. - The Davie Police Department will hold an active assailant training on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Davie Town Hall, located at Pine Island Park, 8800 SW 36th Street. The training will take place from 12:30 to 5 p.m. This training is only available to Town staff

 

The training will affect the departments and services provided by personnel in Buildings A and C (see the highlighted areas on the map). 

 

Please take note of the departments and services that will be unavailable for the remainder of the day:

 

  • Building A
    1. Building Division
    2. Business Tax Receipt
    3. Engineering Division
    4. Utilities Customer Service

 

  • Building C
    1. Administration
    2. Community Redevelopment Agency
    3. Mayor and Town Council
    4. Planning and Zoning
    5. Town Attorney
    6. Town Clerk

 

Personnel from the departments and buildings above will be unavailable to conduct regular Town business during the training.  Please note that all other Town Hall operations, including Human Resources, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts, and all services and programming provided at the Pine Island Multipurpose Center will continue as scheduled.

The active assailant training will consist of indoor/conference room activities and hands-on/outdoor exercises, which may result in loud bangs and noises. Please do not be alarmed as this is only a training.

Informational signs will be placed at the park’s entrances to ensure that those using the facility are aware of the ongoing training.

There will be no opportunities for the media to participate.
