Mosquito Control

With the intermittent rain events throughout our community, water may settle in various outdoor areas which may cause an increase in mosquitos. Please help mosquitoes from multiplying or living around your home or business.

A few ways you can protect yourself include:

  • Drain: Garbage cans, house gutters, pool covers, coolers, toys, flowerpots, or any other containers where sprinkler or rainwater has collected.
  • Discard: Old tires, drums, bottles, cans, pots, pans, broken appliances, and other items that aren't being used.
  • Empty and Clean: Birdbaths and pets’ water bowls at least once or twice a week.
  • Protect: Boats and vehicles from rain with tarps that don’t accumulate water.
  • Maintain: The water balance (pool chemistry) of swimming pools. Empty plastic swimming pools when not in use.

If you are interested in getting your home or business evaluated for mosquitoes, please contact Broward County Mosquito Control by dialing 311 on a mobile device or 954-765-4062 from a landline or submit a request through the online portal at https://browardcountyfl.qscend.com/311/request/add
