SAVE THE DATES: TOWN OF DAVIE HOLIDAY EVENTS
DAVIE, Fla. – In celebration of the holiday season, the Town of Davie will host a series of holiday-inspired events throughout December for the entire family to enjoy. Please take note of the upcoming events:
Friday, Dec. 2, 2022: Santa’s Enchanted Fire Station and Toy Drive
The Town of Davie, in partnership with the Davie Fire Rescue Benevolent Association, will host Santa’s Enchanted Fire Station from 6 to 9 p.m. at Fire Station 86, 14651 SW 14th Street. The event aims to collect a variety of toys for children in need. A suggested donation of $10 or a new, unwrapped toy is encouraged for entry.
The onsite toy drive will accept new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages, with special consideration for teens 13-18 years old. Toys in need include, but are not limited to:
- Arts, Jewelry and Craft Kits
- Cosmetics
- Football/Basketballs
- Sports Equipment
- Board Games
- Radio Control Cars/Trucks
All toys and proceeds collected will be donated to Harvest Drive Inc. To contribute, please bring toys in their original packaging. Used or lightly used toys will not be accepted.
Other free onsite activities include a meet and greet with Santa Claus, a fire truck photo op and face painting. Milk and cookies will be available for all to enjoy. Individuals are asked to enter through the main Shenandoah Park entrance located at 14601 SW 14th Street. Free parking will be available throughout the park.

Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022: Lighting of the Greens
The annual Lighting of the Greens event will be held at the Davie Pine Island Park, 3801 S. Pine Island Road.
The event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. and include a tree-lighting ceremony and family activities for individuals of all ages to enjoy. The South Florida Trail Riders will kick off the event at 6 p.m. with the Jingle Bell Horse Parade.
Event activities include:
- Holiday activities and rides
- Live entertainment including the South Florida Cloggers, Carolers, Jacob Velazquez-Drummer Boy
- Petting farm
- Guest appearances from holiday characters
- Visit from Santa Claus on a fire truck
- Pictures with Santa Claus inside the Pine Island Fitness and Aquatic Center, 3800 SW 92nd Ave.
Please note that food and refreshments will also be available for purchase at the event.
Collection bins for the Town of Davie Toy Drive will be onsite for residents interested in donating new, unwrapped toys. Toys collected will be allocated to over 300 children in need within Davie.

Friday, Dec. 16, 2022: Movie in the Park
Join the Town at the Davie Pine Island Park’s Padre and Mariner fields located at 3801 S. Pine Island Road for a free Movie in the Park event featuring the holiday film “Elf” starting at 7 p.m. Gates will open early at 6 p.m. for guests to secure their spots and purchase items from the onsite food trucks.
Seating areas are on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Coolers and pets are not allowed.
Attendees should enter through the park’s main entrance off Pine Island Road. Free parking will be available throughout the park.
