DAVIE INVITES VETERANS TO PARTICIPATE IN ITS VETERANS VOUCHER PROGRAM

Voucher pickup will occur from Oct. 24 through Nov. 4, 2022

DAVIE, Fla. –  In honor of veterans who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, the Town of Davie will begin distributing restaurant vouchers to eligible Davie veterans as part of its Veterans Voucher Program on Monday, Oct. 24, 2022.

This program will provide one $25 complimentary meal voucher to 125 eligible veterans to dine at a participating Davie restaurant. Vouchers will have no cash value and the program does not cover alcoholic beverages.

Eligible Davie Veterans interested in participating in the program must appear in person to pick up their vouchers at the Pine Island Multipurpose Center located at 3801 S. Pine Island Road and provide proof of Davie residency and veteran status. Voucher distribution will occur from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., between Oct. 24 through Nov. 4, 2022, or until supplies last. Service members must have an honorable discharge to qualify for a voucher. 

Veterans must provide one of the following documents from each category to claim the voucher (two documents total):

1. Davie Residency

• Valid Driver’s License
• Utility Bill 

2. Veteran Identification

• DD214
• NGB-22
• Valid Florida Driver’s License with Veteran Designation
• Military Retirement Card
• Medical Card from Veterans Affairs

Vouchers will be redeemable from Nov. 4 to Nov. 13, 2022, at the participating restaurants listed below:
