Bulk Waste Collection Resumes for Town of Davie Residents


The collection of bulk waste in the Town of Davie will resume on October 2, 2017 and will be done on the regular schedule. 

Please note that Waste Management will not be collecting storm debris or vegetative material.  It is important that storm debris remain separate from residential bulk material so that Waste Management can collect your household bulk materials efficiently and safely.


Bulk material that will be collected include:

  • Furniture:
    • Sofas
    • Tables
    • Beds
    • Desks
    • Dressers
    • Chairs
    • Lights
    • Accessories


  • Appliances and White Goods:
    • Refrigerators
    • Ranges
    • Pool heaters
    • Water softeners
    • Pianos
    • Washers
    • Dryers
    • Water heaters
    • Other similar appliances


  • Other Items:
    • Toilets
    • Bicycles
    • Mattresses
    • Household goods
    • Large boxes
    • Barrels
    • Crates
    • Equipment
    • Wire and cable
    • Cabinets
    • Counters
    • Mirrors
    • Windows
    • Carpet
    • Rugs
    • Fixtures
    • Wall or floor coverings


Bulk materials that will not be collected include:

  • Vegetation:
    • Branches
    • Tree trunks
    • Large vegetation piles


  • Storm debris:
    • Fencing
    • Roof tiles
    • Screens
    • Outdoor poles and equipment
    • Screening
    • Posts
    • Siding
    • Fencing
    • Pool enclosures
    • Sheds
    • Car ports
    • Awnings
    • Gazebos
    • Swing sets


Storm debris should be separated into two piles: vegetative and non-vegetative debris. These materials will be collected by the Town’s storm debris vendor.


Piles of material that are commingled with bulk material and storm vegetation/storm debris, will be left on the curb to be collected by the Town’s storm debris vendor.
