BROWARD SHERIFF’S OFFICE AIR RESCUE LANDING EXERCISE TO OCCUR AT FIREFIGHTERS PARK

Firefighters Park will be temporarily closed to the public

DAVIE, Fla. – As part of the Davie Fire Rescue Lieutenant Officer Development Course (ODC) training, the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) Air Rescue will conduct a helicopter landing exercise on the field just north of the Firefighters Park at 6991 Orange Drive on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

During this exercise, individuals in the area should expect to see emergency service vehicles, the BSO Hazmat team and public safety personnel.

Please note that all park amenities, including the playground, will be closed during this time. The park will reopen to the public at noon. For everyone's safety, individuals not involved in this demonstration are asked to avoid the location.
