Tri-Rail / SFEC Express
Gets you from the Fort Lauderdale Airport Tri-Rail to the Davie campuses and back. The SFEC Express Shuttle runs every half-hour and meets most incoming Tri-Rail trains between 7:33 am and 6:43 pm and meets the last outgoing Tri-Rails at 7:58 pm (southbound). (see map and schedule for details).
South Florida Education Center
The South Florida Education Center (SFEC) is the consortium of educational institutions located within the Town of Davie.
The institutions are:
- Broward College
- Florida Atlantic University - Broward
- McFatter Technical Center
- Nova Southeastern University
- University of Florida
Traffic Generator
The SFEC campus has become one of the biggest generators of traffic in Broward County. Therefore, the schools came together to form the South Florida Education Center Transportation Management Association or SFEC TMA to help with the mobility and parking problems.
Alternative Transportation
The SFEC TMA is a private, nonprofit organization representing a partnership of SFEC educational institutions, the Town of Davie and the Florida Department of Transportation whose mission is to develop strategies and implement programs that provide alternative transportation options for improved mobility in the South Florida Center area.
SFEC Members
As a student, faculty or staff member of any of the SFEC institutions listed above, you are automatically a member of the SFEC TMA and entitled to an array of services free of charge.
The monthly SFEC TMA discount tickets will increase from $60.00 to $75.00, this will be effective for the June pass.
The shuttle is a free bus service from Tri-Rail to the SFEC campus in Davie and back.
