Special Operations Division

The Special Operations Division, under the command of Captain Yensy Thomas, provides specialized units critical to the overall police mission. The members in each of the individual units are trained and certified in their area of expertise. The Special Operations Division consists of Community Oriented Policing Unit, Traffic Unit, K9 Unit, Mounted Unit, School Resource Unit, Campus Officers Unit, Mobile Field Force, Dive Team, Honor Guard, and The Town of Davie Code Compliance Division.
